Carpet is good news for asthma and allergies

Carpet, Asthma and
Allergies – Myth or Reality

With respect to asthma and
allergies, multiple studies have reported fewer allergy and asthma symptoms associated
with carpet.

In a article published on the international E-Journal of Flooring Sciences a study of over 20,000 people has identified amazing statistics pointing to carpet being beneficial as a floor covering to people suffering with asthma and other allergies.

It states that “the significant literature on carpet and asthma
or allergies confirms that children and adults inhabiting carpet surface rooms do not have
an increased incidence of asthma or allergies.”

The fact is carpet traps the biocontaminants and prevents them becoming airborne and triggering asthma and allergies.

The study also reveal that mattresses and furniture are cause for delivering more allergens than any type of carpet.
